Golden Bells

INSPIRED BY EDGAR ALLEN POE’S POEM: THE BELLS
The Bells is one of my favorite poems because of Poe’s mastery of onomatopoeia and diacopic phrases. The words ooze off the tongue when the verse on Golden Bell is spoken aloud, and I wanted to create a tangible visualization of his choice of words, such as “mellow”, “balmy”, “molten”, “gush”, and “swells”. Therefore, I worked to achieve an aqueous effect on the final appearance of my ring, as if honey is dripping over someone’s fingers.
